Email from the city building inspector.

I have taken care of the situation. I’ve posted the roof cover as “Do Not Occupy” along with caution tape. I’ve referred the owner to obtain the services of a structural engineer. The owner was very cooperative once I stated the issues at hand and demonstrated how dangerous the structure was.

I’ll try to update the thread with a pic after she fixes it.

You did the right thing. That thing is a mess. Any decent builder would be able to suss out what it needs to be right, but the inspector is just saying the right things by calling for an enjuneer.

I'm really curious about who the contractor was who built that thing. Need to keep an eye out for him.

What's hilarious is that the kids probably have to play under a roof to protect them from the evil sun.

Here is hoping they don't use the same dope that built the fucker to make the fixes. Shit will probably come out looking worse than before.

That makes it all the more hilarious--the kids can't be exposed even to the minimal sun they get.

i'm sure even pre-school teachers want a break from the precious little monsters -- outdoor energy break time without them being soaked & frozen requiring a clothing change for each one seems pretty darn logical to me

We get about 80 inches of rain a year out here.

"We been through every kind of rain there is. Little bitty stingin' rain, and big ol' fat rain, rain that flew in sideways, and sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath. Shoot, it even rained at night."

    1. Eat fast food and drink 22 ounce bottles of Mountain Dew and leave the trash on site.

    2. Play classic rock at the job site.

    3. Calls you “boss” in a sarcastic manner that makes you think “is he being polite or condescending?”
