Will do, with Pano shutting down I'm going to have some spare time. Hasn't been much moving up there. Finger slides still haven't come down. Lots of wind lately.

KHo had some fresh roy to rip today although it was a long walk up. Nobody must have let the groomers know they were closing.

How's High Roller? That one is usually one of the first to open in the valley.

Trying to squeeze 1 or 2 more days of spring break traffic in first.

Maybe they added a new clause to those assumption of liability things on the back of the ticket. You know, the ones no one ever reads.

The didn't tell the rental shop guy either. He was fully set up and waiting for customers. No guest services to deal with refunds either. Just ghosted.

My bet is all these hills are closed for the season. Close for spring break and then re-open for the last two weeks when there are no paying guests? ya right

Seems pretty clear it’s Parks Canada facilities, or least those that have a door. IE indoor not outdoors.

Marmot is closing at end of day.

From what we're getting, it's any Parks facilities that allow visitors, so even some parks departments I deal with are still open, as they don't receive public visits.

Many ski areas have summer operations for biking, hiking and sightseeing. When and if they will be able to start those is also a big problem. If uncertainty drags on to mid-summer the only things open next season will be resorts that get bought out instead of liquidated

"Visitors may use front country and backcountry areas as well as accessible green spaces. Should Canadians decide to visit, they should remember that they are always responsible for their own safety. They should consult Parks Canada’s website to be prepared for their visit and be aware of any area closures. Search and rescue services may be limited."

Did Sunshine and the Lake have a hold out contest to see which one would throw in the towel first? I wonder if there will be longest season last year ads in the fall. Sunshine was getting roasted pretty hard today on Facebook and Instagram as they continued to advertise being open and awesome even after Castle put out their release that stated CWSSA direction to close all hills.
Move along nothing to see here.

I love how their messaging makes it sound like a voluntary closure and not a mandated closure
From the government based on the public Heath emergency declaration in AB.

Meanwhile - powder king up north in BC remains open. FFS.

Found good snow today on East facing aspects Fernie area. Even if I can't redeem my FAR lift passes I bought at a fundraiser my trip was worth every dollar.
