Sitting on a bale of hay in the barn after evening chores are done with a barn cat in your lap listening to the horses munch

I like sitting on the comfy chair with a beer in my hand listening to the yeasties munch on short chain sugars I just made for them.

A walk on the beach with the 10 yr old golden; who will spot a gull and for a few moments is a puppy again. I, too, highly value looking up to see no one in the trees say at sierra-at-tahoe or copper, and its all quiet and white. Corny I know but my bother-in-law was a tremendously gifted trail attorney and skier who died from pancreatic cancer in 2008. I like to imagine he is there too.

How stoked my dog is to see the UPS guy, and how stoked the UPS guy is to see my dog. They are both happy, even if the dog doesn't always get a milkbone.

Driving home from someone special’s place at night through town on deserted streets right after a good snowstorm...with Tom Waits playing.

Drinking few cups of black coffee and listening to Bill Callahan while procrastinating.

Would need to do stuff, but I think the world can manage by itself for couple of hours.

Was it in Bakersfield? We're you listening to gospel music on the colored radio station? Did you run 20 redlights?

A long, warm ( or cool ) shower after I have been Outside for long enough - and active enough - to need a long shower...

This morning, it is after moving Snow for the fourth time after yesterday's thirty - inch snowfall...

yup : a long, warm shower will feel Goooood !

    thanks...

    little things - indeed.
