RIP Peter Fonda
Ironic this happens during this Woodstock 50 shit.
That honey bee farmer movie he starred in was really good.

Re-visited THE LIMEY recently. Fonda is pretty great in that.
This , however, is one of my favorite films:

Watched Easy Rider as a kid, it had a lasting impact.
It was also my introduction to Jack Nicholson as I recall.
RIP Peter

I had a Wild Angels movie poster on the wall as a kid. I don't think I was old enough to see the movie. I always was inspired by the man. Rest in peace, man.

Used to see and talk to Peter almost daily in Lahaina when he'd come in from his boat The Tatoosh. I was selling charters and was a local wharf rat with a pos boat in the harbor. We'd point him out to the tourists and they'd go all apeshit over him. His crew were a bunch of rock solid pirates with some fucking good stories.

so iconic. finally got a bike a few years ago, am so going to get a replica of that jacket. Remember getting totally stoned with the deadheads on the hall goin to the movie at the university theater fall 1983. Really from the graveyard scene to the end was mind-blowing. My $.02 loved the ending. An accurate, if faithless, view of the time.

Wearing that jacket today marks you as a trumptard. Weird how much I don’t like it anymore. The flag, that is.

That's a great movie.
Race with the Devil freaked me out and put me off RV camping for life. LOL!

I remember first watching The Trip and Easy Rider back to back when I was 18.
Maron interviewed Jane Fonda earlier this year, and they discussed her brother quite a bit. It was interesting.
Easy rider will be playing this Friday at the Nevada City Film Festival. It’s a pretty great festival. Those in the vicinity might want to check it out:

Saw the movie when it came out in '69. Probably the reason I didn't want to go into a bar in Durango wearing my pony tail and bell bottom jeans in '71 when I was passing through.
