My mom has always been into the family tree & geneology so no surprise that a few years ago she went all in with Ancestry & 23 & Me. Well fuck if she didn't hit the jackpot.
Last year, (on Apr 1 no less), she finds out she's got a sister she never knew about. Seems when she was 12, her dad hooked up with a waitress one night. He probably never even knew. My mom grew up an only child so now in her late 70s she's absolutely thrilled to have a sister. They have met and talk often. Yeah it's a bit weird but I've got some new cousins including 1 that lives here in Tahoe, and he seems like a good guy."The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size."
