I am the boss! That's the best part of all this.

Google says 26 minutes but it's really like 18. It's only 11 miles of driving.

No, he's in the 3rd world to the south.

Yeah, we live within 50 miles of each other now!

Ever the optimist. Up here we call them "traffic days." But if the bus doesn't block the road 40's doable.

Asked if we could come up and see it, and he obliged on short notice. We drove up to Sandpoint that afternoon and saw the shop, which is on the other side of the highway from where I used to spend my Summers. Holy . Enough Toyota there to get a perma-chub. The shop is awesome. I can only imagine what the front office will look like in 6 months. Probably a maggot lounge with a touch of extra class. These guys are doing incredible work, prices seem reasonable, and I hope to get my Tundra back up for the mods LWS had in mind. I want to have these guys build me a '40 after I get my dream job.

After the tour, and a short bit of rock crawling in a cherry FJ60, thanks to SkiLyft(just kidding), I got to take a ride in Vivian. It was soooooo smooth!! I looked for four years to find that truck, and it's the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, wife wouldn't let me keep it and the ocean air had had it's way with it. Actually, LWS, I bought that truck to drive the beach at Shelter Cove. Good thing it didn't make it up there, otherwise the rust would have been worse. Anyway, after a teary-eyed ride, dad and I decided to split before I got in trouble.

LWS, Thanks so much for the tour, and best of luck with the shop. I know you guys will be doing great things there, and will flourish with your hard efforts.

Now, to get rid of the Syncro...
Ummm, you looking to sell a synchro ?

    Shut your filthy whore mouth!

Naah, kidding. Landrovers can be tricky, have to admit...
But, just back from the Balkans. 6 weeks, 14 countries, 11.000km and zero...ermm...well, some small niggles.
Light switch melted on day two but managed to solder things back together and a bit hassle with worn out brake pads but carried spares so, no biggie.
Saw some really nice Landcruisers on the trip, would take one in a heart beat if only the spares would be a bit cheaper around here.

Nevertheless, godspeed with your endeavours! You shop looks absolutely fantastic!

Leavenworth Skier's Latest Automotive Folly - More Land Cruisers???

Jong question, but why do you guys prefer land cruisers so much over wranglers, etc.? Starting to research / look at an off road rig. Would not be a daily driver, mainly used for off roading, may want to be able to tow with it. Looking for something simple and reliable.

Well you gotta lot of nerve coming in here asking that.

Someone here probably knows why and is going to tell you.
