New Woodward park city jibberific resort

So I was riding up that way and saw what looks like a new super park where the old sledding hill was. There must be good money up in them silver hills with the young tall tee crowd. Is this the future of skiing?
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I’m hoping a pass is less than gillion dollars. I’d do a couple laps after work if so

They will also have a full length Slalom race course for the local clubs to train on.

Me want to try! Hoping to get a solid old man group going there.

Now I just gotta heal up from the skiing AND the biking injuries.

Hey DGamms, Stood in line at school behind the manager. $100 a month unlimited will be the pay to play.

Just went past. Looks like the slalom hill will be 7-10 turns. I might give the inside a go. I wouldn't mind getting the confidence to throw a back flip on snow this winter. At age 60, that would make me extremely happy

Month-to-month available or do you have to commit to a full year? Drop in any time 7 days/week?

Seems like a pretty good deal depending on hours/restrictions considering what will be there.

Curious, what happens to Rowmark with PCMR no longer providing race training?

    Amazing...
In Utah, of all places, they build a Wisconsin-style park-and-slalom tiny ski hill.
Fucks sake people, if that’s what you want go buy a $30,000 house in Ironwood Michigan.

They, and the U, are building lifts at UOP. The first one parallels and extends the current t-bar and is going in this summer.

Not sure on month to month vs commitment.

For my family of 4 it’s 4800 a year. That’s a huge amount of cash.

Hopefully they will do some type of family bundle/cheaper kids passes? I guess I look at it as my wife's yoga gym is $99 a month, this would be a way better deal for $100 a month to me lol.

I think it's cool. I've often wondered by cold-weather cities don't build jib park style ski hills closer to town. It's not as if they need huge amounts of vertical.

I will be touring Woodward at 2:00 this afternoon. Is there anything that I can look out for/into for the collective? LMK

This is what I found out:
1 month ticket price will be increased soon. Right now, no season pass. Monthly only with 3 month minimum. Day passes will also be sold. Pass gives access but not lessons for specific tricks.
Hard opening date is Dec. 15, but they do not know whether it will be open by then. Tony Hawk and Redmond Gerard will be at opening.
    Free parking (for now)
100 seat restaurant, full bar and retail space inside.
6 indoor trampolines; two "super" trampolines; foam pit. Roller skis/snowboards will be used indoors.
Currently, the inside is mostly skeletal

First day on the outdoor park at Woodward PC today. Even during peak holiday season for Park City, half the chairs were empty. Multiple park options on the descent, including a bunch of intermediate/advanced rails, boarder cross style track, and two lower jump lines with 20-35 ft table tops.

They are still blowing snow for the super pipe and the big jump, which looks like it will be a massive 70-80ft table.

Monthly pass is a wrist band with a chip in it, providing unlimited access to the outdoor facilities. Indoor access must be booked in advance in two hour increments. The tramps and the roller skis to foam pit look awesome.

Overall, I’m psyched. Especially if it stays this empty.

Haha!! It was NYE, I was one day off.

My knee is feeling pretty good, let me know if you want to do a few old man park laps sometime. Same goes to any other old man park lurkers on Tech Talk.
