Just saw that Pulp Fiction basement scene, the I'm going medieval on his ass thing, and thought, ain't nothing like that in this movie.

I enjoyed it. It wasn’t his best, or his worst. Great cinematography. With QT movies I’m there for the good lines, the action sequences, the styling/art direction, the laughs. OUATINH had all those IMO.

The part about messing with history reminded me of Inglorious Basterds.

I can’t believe how much of that I listened to. For the first part I was like “STFU about Jackie Brown!” and almost quit listening. That said, I understand and admire nerdism, a passion for something that makes you fascinated and obsessed. But listening to that podcast had me thinking about how nerding can ruin an experience if it goes down the wrong path.

Nothing will ever top spending many nights getting high in college and watching Resevior Dogs, studying almost every frame. Very nerdy.

But can you quote all the dialogue word for word?

FWIW, I watched this flick the other night, STANDOFF AT SPARROW CREEK, which owes a HUGE debt to Reservoir Dogs. Worth a watch if you like dialogue heavy thrillers that unfold in one place.

OK, but what was that movie ABOUT? Not much. Same for Jackie Brown. I like Tarantino when he just riffs in films. This one sounds interesting.

I was talking about the hypothetical bong sucker of that time. I was working for a living.

Back to Pulp Fiction, the dialogue was much more economical, precise, but, then again, Sam Jackson owned that movie. This movie has too many boring white people.

Slow movie without the memorable lines. Ok overall, but possibly my least favorite QT flick.

Brace yourself for the 4 hour version!

I had no idea there was a 4 hour version of The Hateful 8, either (I knew that the 70mm film version was supposed to be slightly different than the digital multiplex version, though).

Call Tarantino before you decide to do that. I'm pretty sure he would like to film that and use it.
