Good reason to watch the Tour de France Fri. & Sat.
You may not be a fan, but the last two stages before the final day in Paris next Sunday are in the Alps. Friday ends in Tignes after going through Val d'Sière, and Saturday is Albertville to Courchavel. If it's bluebird, pretty spectacular to watch on the flat screen. I have it on the NBCSN channel. DVR it, so you can ff through the commercials. Today was the Tourmalet in the Pyrennes, spectacular, but, you missed it. Is that a good ski mountain?

The Tour has been great this year! Driving to our cabin on Friday so might miss it but Saturday for sure. DVR at home so I can watch when we get home.

Well, maybe, but just alerting non bikers and race fans to some cool TV. Nothing like those helicopter shots on a bluebird day.
On top of that, this is a pretty exciting year as far as the race is concerned.

Luz Ardiden is nearby and has some pretty craggy steeps if you like to hike a bit off piste.

Saturday's stage is on my local NBC outlets, so, no special cable channel needed for that one.

I think Saturday actually finishes at Val Thorens rather than Courchevel. Same area (Trois Vallees), but a couple of valleys over, and a bit higher.

Thursday's not going to suck either with a 1 followed by 2 HC's. We'll see if Alaphilippe can hold on.

Hopefully things go well for Pinot, he seems like he's in great shape. I'm just hoping to have moderate temperatures during the main stages of this tour.

It wasn't just hail/snow that made the road impassible...
