todays racing is BOOoooooo snnooooozeee rrrrrinnngggggggggggggg

    Ferrari F12 TRS? dead sexy

and it's funny seeing people saying "engine builders are stupid" in a Corvette thread. Because GM fucking killed it with engines. There's a reason people would swap out the italian V12 for a small block chevy in the past .... lighter weight, more reliable, easier to get parts for plenty of power.

Ha, the other TRS of that pair was in the Ferrari museum when I visited. There's a picture in the thread I posted above. Holy shit though, shiny silver? Wtf? Chrome? Formed metal?

And yeah, muscle cars, and the Vette was always a muscle car, are engine first.

Non-sense. 600hp in a small car is still a winning combo. You gotta know how to drive though. Most don't.

Sounds a lot like Enzo's last car. The man understood aerodynamics.

Porsche still hangs the engine out the back but they sell just fine.

Fixed it for you,., And those without one already will gladly pay another 20K to get the new one since it is justifiably an entirely different ride. Pretty sure 80s Vettes will be going for a song now. 90s and 00s will drop at least 20%.

Dude, these are not people who drove Vettes until about 55 years old. They retired well, or saved their dimes, and finally got the car of their teenage wet dreams. Before that they were driving wagons or pickups or SUVs. You know, family cars. Check it out the next time you see one go by. Almost always an old greybeard driving one. Young people, or even kinda young? Um, no. It's the same market that keeps Harley Davidson and Cadillac alive.

To be honest, sometimes I check out 15-20 year old Vettes, thinking, wow, bet they're cheap to buy and maintain, but, nope, not worth the asking prices for a summer toy. Vipers are getting cheaper, though, since they don't make them anymore, and they are simple as shit to work on.

Not when you're flirting with the price range of an affordable Porsche or BMW M. You have to remember that Vettes are chick repellents, still, after all this time. Most women I know think they're pathetic examples of an obvious problem.

Lets just compromise and say that the Vette is a muscular sports car, but wtf is that thing? It looks like one of those pimped out TV projects that some rap star would be proud to cruise down his ghetto street, blasting shitty music. A muscle car is the Chevelle 396, Camaro Z28, or a 454 Vette. Stock.

The Corvette by which all should be compared. This car was not only a chick magnet, but also just badass.
