    The New Corvette

I don't think I'd mind slumming it with this one.

The new V8's that I guess will come eventually are supposed to be flat plane--so it'll even sound like a Ferrari now.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Fiero, maybe the Corvair, if you squint.

Great shape, sounds like awesome value to performance ratio, but the designers just can't resist adding stupid design elements that make it look like a transformer toy, like that stuff on the side. Keep it simple, dudes. Friend of mine always said, nice car, but I ain't driving an F16 on my roads.

    This is a problem?

And I'm sure if you walk into the dealer with $60K to buy one right now...

    The New Corvette

I like it, but it looks like [fill in the blank].
I do question badging it as a Vette though.

there was an awful lot of negativity written about the '63 split window stingray when it came out too.

arguably the greatest mass-produced sports car the world has ever seen.

Perhaps not Benny, but the rest of you do understand that the side vents are necessary to cool the engine...until it goes electric?

Ohhhhhh, good call. IIRC, the Fiero was a bit of a disaster. The Corvair was a total disaster. Rear mounted engine and was the subject of 'Unsafe at Any Speed'. I'll wait for the crash ratings.

As far as price, the corvette has a wide range of features. The 60k version isn't the one you want. The good one that will have a chance of making a turn will cost 100k+

A 2019 Corvette ZR1 will set you back 125k. A base Silverado is 28k. Apples, Oranges.

I like the look; side intakes are there to feed air into the engine.
    NA mid engine V-8, nice.
I watched the reveal and it was arousing.
I think under 3 sec was with the track pack.
Word is that the Z06 gets a twin turbo.
Zora model gets twin + electrics for ~1000 total HP.

With a mid engine... that's probably functional... like to get the engine air... cool the brakes, etc.

No shit. Then tell me why Ferraris don't look like a teenager penciled them whiled bored in shop class. It's better than the present model, which can just look hideous in certan configurations. They did the same thing with the new Camaro, although somebody mercifully rounded a lot of that look in the newest version.

So pathetic to see old whilte bearded white guys driving Vettes that look like bad HotCars.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Perhaps if they put a yellow prancing horse sticker on the fender and tacked on $150K to the price you'd be ok?
