Ripple...reminds me of a friend that passed in high school. But really, just a decent song just like about another million decent song. Not worthy of a lifestyle. Which reminds be of the time a saw the chick just noodle dancing to herself with rings on her fingers and bells on here shoes get straight dropped by a frisbee at 100 yards at Highgate 94.

Were you at the Pranksters show a few weekends ago at Hogs? I saw you post about it but didn't see you there. They are good.

    At RCMH?
That is AWESOME. I bought a bogus ticket on the street and got shut out, it was my first attempt at going to a show. I didn’t actually get to one until ‘83 (Hartford).
    I hope you appreciated it.

When you're there, I sleep lengthwise.
And when you're not, I sleep diagonally in my bed.

    Genius.

Not a big Phish fan. I never play their recordings but the Phish shows I have been to were fantastic. Saw them in Providence on a little tour they called the Island tour, 2 dates on Long Island 2 on Rhode Island. Fantastic.

I’ll admit that I turned on American Beauty a couple years ago after not listening to the band for a decade.

I had sunshine, 200 miles ahead of me on back roads and the windows down.

That was enough to bring me back.

This. Great band. Really bad at times. Transcendent at other times.

Not into the Dead so much anymore, haven't seen any form of it since the fence was knocked down in Highgate.

    Love seeing the Phish.

Spasm waiter dropping to his knees, sees
    Slander on wrap paper ties
Lifting up his head he feels the sunlight in his eyes
Grasp a kettle top and shoot the breeze, please
    Ramble while slop scraper sighs
Tossing in his bed at night he'll dream until he dies
    Operations at the sink
The dribble liquid visible beneath his troubled eyes
Feels it tilt and start to slide
Mask a pretty hopper's foot with squeeze cheese
    Dangle some grape apple pies
Tranquil and serene until he runs out of supplies
Your hands and feet are mangoes
You're gonna be a genius anyway

For my money, nothing beats Dave Matthews while blasting down an empty road on Nantucket.

I loved the scene. And I'm a better person for having lived the scene. But maybe it changed or maybe I just grew out of it.

I know it’s an unpopular position around here, but for a long time in my life live Dave was as good as it gets.

A mutual hatred of Dave Matthews was one of the things that bonded my wife and I when we first started dating.

Do You Like The Greatful Dead?

Dave Matthews is a quintessential 90s lyricolygist
