This community still kicks ass. They would never want to ask for a donation. The reality is at this point they are going to need help. Her recovery is going to be very long and difficult.

Pretty much this. Never met/skied with them in person but gleaned much beta from their website and TRs over the years. Thanks for posting this OP

Direct link to the GoFundMe (I assume it's on the Instagram page, but I didn't see it when I clicked--I'm not very familiar with IG so maybe it's in the newsfeed thing on the right or something?):

I'm actually pretty relieved to know about her current condition since about three years ago this exact thing happened to a friend of mine (I think it was his F-150 that rolled over him when he got out to adjust the ties on some equipment he had in the bed). He's a quadriplegic now, so the fact that there's no paralysis is awesome (not that this isn't awful, obviously, but could have been so much worse).

I know of several folks who have broken femurs simultaneously with some other severe injuries to ankles and pelvis and the femur with hardware healed way faster than the others . The others all involved longish waits for things to heal or calm down or whatever before they could have their surgeries.

Following Brittany on FB. Vibes continuous and donation sent. Know we are thinking about you and inspired by your tenacity and spirit.

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.
