New Marker Tech touring binding 20/21?
Kye posted this image in his stories on Instagram a while back.
Looks like a Kingpin heelpiece + weird shaped new toe piece.
On the table: Jester 18 Pro, Alpinist and a skiboot with tech inserts.
The white part looks like a lever to me. Marker needs a safety release in the toes to compete with the Shift.
Anybody with more info? Maybe even pictures.
Lets help Marker after this well set up marketing image and start up the hype train..

That's not a Kingpin heel, it's a Jester/Griffon heel. New toe is interesting though. Why do you want to help Marker? If you're connected to them you should say so.

Great, still with the Jester heel. Because every binding should need a rubber mallet to set the heel all the way to the worm screw track.

Yeah, that's what everyone needs, a binding to compete with shift, that breaks down immediately.
I wonder how long it will take marker to overcome the bad experience with the kingpin.
I still remember all the pre releases if 30 years ago.

Jesus I am still leery of the alpinist despite it looking good on paper. Something with even more moving parts is just bad news...

My guess is no progress was made during that photo session..."uh, should we combine them?" Hahaha
Ski jesters and jester pros on some skis and never had a problem with them, save for a couple extra seconds stepping in time to time.

Marker is totally capable of making a heel that doesn't require a ton of forward pressure and is a snap to step in to. The TCX 12 is super easy to get in to. For that matter, my 20 DIN Marker Comp bindings are super easy to step in to.

Ha, sorry, I typed to quickly, but yes I meant Jester heelpiece. I do not want to help Marker nor am I connected to them, sorry... I was just suprised this was not on TGR yet. What happened to the Gear rumors ****/**** enthousiasm??
Sorry dude, I don't live inside these forums + different timezone..
A bit, yes. I never understood why there was no toe piece upgrade after two years of the Kingpin. I know they tried to get a safety release in the toe piece but could not get it right and got the Kingpin on the market without. But why not keep developing and get an upgrade out after 2 or 3 years? Give the people what they want. Now the Shift destroyed the Kingpin sales big time, at least here in Europe. That plus the recall F-up will make it really hard to get their name up again.

I dont ride marker bindings but see a lot if FWT riders on them in competition. Ive always wondered why guys and gals ride them at the highest level of skiing when it seems the majority of people on this forum say they are not capable?
Regardless, hope they make a legit competitor to the shift.

Most folks on TGR would use them if they got 2-3 free pairs a year, or if their ski sponsor had a relationship with Marker and they came with the skis . . . which I bet is the case with a lot of the FWT people. I know a few FWT competitors and not many of them get actual money from a binding company.
