Call went out at around 8:45 that an evacuation process was happening. Patrollers that were called in for the exercise worked until 4pm. Last cabin was evacuated around 3:30pm. That was with the lift at about 20% capacity. Imagine it was 5 hrs later with the lift full of July long weekenders on both upload and download lines.

Need drones with pizza and beer...
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.

Just maybe, maybe, there was a 200 person club members only dinner with almost 300 lobsters scheduled for that day.
You got lobsters? You drive up and make lobster rolls and freeze the meat.
Just sayin'. Plus a maybe couple few thousands of dollars, couple, in revenue on the 4th, 5th, etc.
Not a peep. Only one injury thank budda. A full on panic attack as the gondi hit the tower.
Now, where do I shit when I'm up there for 5+ hours? Piss off the other side!
Could have been so much worse. Hopefully someone FOIA's the tram board report.

“an issue with certain bolts on one of the lift towers,” Vail Resorts said in a statement.
Bolt issue? It seems to me that there is an excessive amount of force pulling that tower uphill. JM$0.02
"...after a safety monitoring system detected the issue with the bolts....." Are there sensors at each junction?
Obviously Vail wants to keep this quiet, as does every resort. This would not be good for the industry.

“an issue with certain bolts on one of the lift towers,” Vail Resorts said in a statement.
Obviously.
And they didn't use those bolts on the other towers ... or on any of the other tower installations recently at other resorts such as recently built lifts at [insert other Vail Resorts resorts name here]?
They used stainless-steel bolts instead of steel?
Or what?

Only dentist in here, no lift mechanics?

In other words Vail still ain't talking. At some point I would assume the state lift board will issue a report, but that could be a while.

was this "safety monitoring system" just somebody with eyes and a cell phone riding the lift?
