I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Splat, that video is fake as shit. The heavy shaking I felt 200 miles away was closer to a minute. Not 7 seconds.

Seriously. Shaking that intense that stops completely after <10 seconds is just not how earthquakes work.

It's less painful then the first 45 seconds of watching a teenager vapidly talk about putting makeup on. Pick your poison.

Business as usual for most of us natives of the earthquake state. I've been through enough to know when to panic, and when to just enjoy the ride. The first quake I remember was when I was about eight. Thought it was pretty cool, but my brothers were panicked. The Symar quake was a biggie, and we were close, maybe 20ish miles from the epicenter. I thought it was kind of fun, but mostly too young and dumb to know any better. Had a good shake from the Northridge quake, that was all a matter of location. Fillmore, just up the valley got trashed, but we just had a fun shake. I got up and was watch ing out the window, but realized I should be the dutiful dad, so went and checked on my two year old daughter. She was fine. I had a few geology glasses, so knew the various phases of an earthquake (info have since forgotten,) and could get a good idea about intensity and distance away, which meant I knew some areas just got there asses kicked. Nothing but a few little ones, or distant ones since. I was swimming laps during the 7/4 quake, and wonder where all the big waves came from. Didnt even bother to get off the bed for 7/5, since I knew it was far away. Drove less then 20 miles from the epicenter 7/6, and just hoped it stay quiet while we passed. It did. Have to drive by again tomorrow.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Just happened to see her the other night on the broadcast of "Capital 4th" on PBS. She looks very much older, dont we all, but very healthy and it was nice to hear her sing and perform with the cast of a broadway show that features her music.

You do have a point. But the lipstick smear across her face was golden.

LOL@ the experts advice for residents to be prepared for a BIG one.... by buying an extra case of bottled water. Some resident interviewed said they could live off their garden indefinitely so they weren't worried about food supply.

RE: a garden in CA is only as good as its water supply. When shit hits the fan, that garden will be baked to a crisp in 7 days without water, and we don't get rain from May to October. The good news is the looters will strip it to the roots within 72 hours.

I have a highly evolved sense of risk management. I do. It's been known basically my whole sentient life. My High School friends called me The Ghost because I was there, but when it came down to it, I was gone. I was already gone. I could feel the pressure coming. I seriously feel it about the Cascadia fault. I mean I can't think about it at all because I think I see it and it won't be good.

    Just throwing it out there.

Always kinda on the back of my mind.

Just north of King Estate Winery there is blatant evidence of a quake.
