Insanity. Those trails on the lower mountain and blown to shit...

There's another POV out there from a dude who usually places really well but flatted twice in the qualifiers and had to start all the way in the back. It shows a good perspective of the massive crash that seem to have taken out half of the field on the lower part of the glacier where its gets steeper and narrower. It's scary to watch, people criss-crossing each other at speed, hitting the snow wall head on, flying over it... At some point it shows a frame snapped in half and some rather dazed and confused riders. Dude ends up passing something like 950 people in the 40 minutes POV.
He has vids from other years with the gopro speedometer showing him hitting over 90 kph on the snow. And a vid from 2017 where the race starts in a FULL ON blizzard on the glacier and everyone is hauling ass completely blind which leads to the expected level of carnage.
