So you need a 9mm to bike in Teton county, who knew?

    Hope you’re unlicensed at least.

Should have thrown him a tube of Parvo cream, tell him to rub it in his eyes to soothe the burn.

I’ve never shot a grizzly, but killed plenty of black bear, both for food and for predatory/garbage habituated issues. It is amazing how stubborn they are to die even with a well placed hunk of lead. Cattle farming neighbours of my father have shot problem griz in the fall during the cattle slaughter, put a rifled slug into the boiler room, the bear goes a several metres more before slowly laying down. 15min later, and that griz will still get up at and take a swipe if you approach. Amazing resilience and stamina. Believe it or not, but years of good data indicates you are more likely to walk away from a charge using bear spray than shooting the angry bruin.

if you have bear spray you should try it (outside only- funny about parvo's experience with the guests trying them in room-wtf?)
you can just do a millisecond spray and get a good idea of how it works and see the dispersement (it's a big spray of orange) and you'll still have plenty for any real bear encounters
Sorry but no, don't do a short test, ever. All it takes is a grain of the spray to stick in the nozzle and the pressure can/will leak out slowly. Leaving you with 95% of the spray sitting there with no propellant. There's plenty of youtubes and ranger programs on how to use it, but not by a short burst from the can you count on. Parvo should expend the rest of the can on Buttah's toilet seat.

Ah, kinda like when me and my bud working in the wholesale store as youngsters would do Reddi Whips and put them back in the boxes. The liquid cream would ooze out the top and make a mess without the nitrous. Many cases of returns that the boss couldn't understand so a sales guy comes from the distributor. As he's talking to the boss my bud and I are peeking around the corner very worried and he spots us. The look on his face as he realized what was going on was funny. He was cool though and didn't out us,

Well, that was a bit if thread drift there, but it brought back memories.

^^^ Apropos of nothing. Many years ago a buddy got into an altercation at a campsite in the Beartooths with another guy.

Other guy pulled a can of Bear Spray and attempted to hose down buddy. Other guy did not take notice of wind direction and was hosed instead.

As he lay writhing in agony on the ground, buddy stood over him offering to shove the remainder of the can up his ass or down his throat.

    Hilarity ensued.

Well I’ll be. In all my years since al gore invented the Internet, I’ve never seen a tall tale backed up by proof. I’ll sleep better next time I’m in park city area knowing the 3rd floor bathroom is real and I’m walking the same area coach prowled.
