Attaching Shimano I spec-B shifter to handle bar or I spec II brakes?

    Besides this - https://problemsolversbike.com/produ...match_adapters

Is there a way to attach an I spec A/B shifter to the handle bar or to I spec II brakes?

What's wrong with the adapter you linked? Seems like it does exactly what you're asking for.

What do you have against the Problem Solvers adapter?

I think you can probably also buy an I Spec B to handlebar adapter, but one way or another, you'll need an adapter.

Well, here in Canada they retail for $75 plus shipping. I reluctantly bought these for nearly $100, crashed today and one of the adapters snapped. Really hoping to find a cheaper solution.

This might work - https://fairwheelbikes.com/kcnc-i-spec-shifter-clamps/ I've emailed them to confirm, since it shows they're compatible with XTR-M980-I and XT--M780-I, but my shifter here is XTR-M980-B..

Ok, so you have an older shifter that's broken where the I-Spec bracket is?

Universal Cycles sells half of the clamshell, and cheap!

Hey thanks for the leg work - but unless I'm missing something, these look they convert your existing shifter into I-spec A or B, but those aren't compatible with my I-spec II brakes.

Oh, I missed the "II" part.

You're probably stuck with the problem solvers, or clamp-on.
