The Juler pass connects St. Moritz to Bivio, that's what 2Funky was referring to driving. It's got a lot of hairpin turns.

vendul knows this area, his input for how to do this would be invaluable.

I'd personally like to spend 3-4 days at each home base. Can we ski Bivio from St Moritz or is that pass closed in winter? Gives a bit of time to get in a rhythm, relax and tailor daily itinerary to whatever conditions merit.

I would love to ski Piz Maler if we got the opportunity.
If conditions are ripe, Piz Mahler will go down.

I arrive Zurich March 5 with 9 days to ski. I'm thinking 4 or 5 days in Engelberg and 4 or 5 days in Sedrun. Maybe see some of you guys there.

Now that's ^^ planning. Airfares still seem a lot higher than last year, hopefully they will drop some.

edit: All of a sudden, British Air is offering rt Sea<->ZRH, 3/3/20 to 3/20/20 for $423 : https://www.kayak.com/flights/SEA-ZR...t=bestflight_a

wow wow... I've been busy lately (thanks God) and wasn't much on TGR and than I find this!!! Well it would be awesome... It all sounds good, Ripz is probably right, a week before last year's would make it a killer! If 2funky is still up for driving, I could arrange vans again and hit Flims and Lenzerheide as day trips.... plus this coloir on the Oberalpstock....

If I make it, which I need to, it will most likely be around 3/21 to 3/29 with some additional time in Valley X.

I think we were late enough in the season where it didn't matter. Def Saturdays are a PITA in season, no experience with flying but car traffic is a nightmare. Took me 5 hours one time to drive between val d and tignes. Never again.

I like seeing the uprise and early planning. Will try and make it - but not for lack of desire. Made some spendy purchases this summer and volunteered to wife no ski travel this year to balance and show some self control. However Switzerland is worth caving for and 1 or even 3 guilt trips isn’t going to kill me.
St Moritz would be on my hit list for sure! Ogling aside..

Just use the, “ I said THIS year, Switzerland is NEXT year.”
Maybe my wife can convince her when you guys are over this way in August.

If I’m around (good chance I’ll be), happy to show people around Davos Klosters. I can also ski across one morning to rip around Arosa Lenzerheide, although I don’t know that side as well...

    1. Re BA: Yeah, I've been screwed 2 years in a row on ski arrival, but, to be fair, both times the sticks never got on the plane in Nashville. I put that more on southern baggage handlers than the airlines.

    2. Re St. Moritz: What about Vendul's brother's place for those interested in overnighting there? I certainly endorse the pizza.

    3. Re Klosters: in addition to the place Buster recommended, the apartments affiliated with Hotel Piz Buin were excellent and a good value for the quality.

I'm down for a night in St. M. What was the name of vendul's bro's hotel/pensione?
I thought the PIz Buin in Klosters was more than 90 chf/night for a single.

BBIEuro 19-20! or fuck it, lets go to Rueras?

Where my brother is, there’s great pizza, rooms are great too but starting at 320chf the night, there are for sure better values in Engadin... as far as Pizza is concerned, you are in for a surprise over here
