Summer Camping Stoke. Post pics here.

Thought that I would start up a thread about summer adventures. This weekend my clan will be hanging out at Lizard Creek, GTNP and Yellowstone. Pics to follow. Post your 2019 camping fun here. In the meantime, here are a few from Moab this May

Mugging for tacky instagram style photos in a place as breathtakingly beautiful as that is downright disrespectful. Take a lap.

Sad to miss my mag buddy's bday camping weekend due to a funeral. But this photo from the weekend made up for it.

Tending the stoke stick is serious business.

Srsly? One post later SFB murders fish and drinks boxed wine and you don't worry about that? And then you have the gall to finish your comment with a stolen catchphrase from one of the East Coast's most beloved posters?

Seemed a bit harsh of a reaction I'd agree. Guy posted a couple pics with his wife in them, what's the problem?

Clearly you guys don't understand. If the background is sufficiently beautiful, you are only permitted to pose like Abe Lincoln. Any indication that you do not appreciate the solemnity of the beauty will result in beatings.

Crotch Lake Ontario. Oddly, Ontario has two Crotch Lakes. I guess that's what happens when you're a province full of lakes.

To belabor the point, how exactly are they even close to Instagram style? You can't even scroll back through the feed to see where it went from normal happy person to gratuitous nature pics - there just isn't that ah-ha! moment in this feed.

Summer Camping Stoke. Post pics here.

Step-daughter’s 1st camping experience was a success! Also in Ontario and also not enough photos taken, but this one well captured the vibe.

    Hopefully more of this soon!

oooh, just googled that (since it looks cool and I know you have kids and you're local-ish) and it's by Mt Princeton? We'll be camping at Mt Princeton CG over July 4th. Any beta/directions (or other nearby fun things with kids) would be welcome. You can shoot a PM if you don't want to mess up this thread.

Hit the fish hatchery for sure. Best part of the trip for my kids, besides the s'mores of course. Chalk Creek is running ridiculously high so the fishing is not particularly good right now but chalk lake is stocked regularly and is worth a shot as is the creek if the water recedes a bit by then. Def do the falls hike. Big bang for the buck on than one as it's accessible, shady, short, and well maintained. Be sure to go down and cross the creek in order to hike right up to the bottom of the falls. St Elmo is totally worth the drive also, though there's little to do once you get there but have a look around.

We love it down there. Usually pull lots of fish out of the creek.
