    It was indeed pretty sweet.

We had beautiful weather on Saturday. Stupid hot, but managed to swim since it was calm and the top layer of water warmed up nicely, the day before it was 53F.

We managed to catch a few fish, not a ton given the work put in, but work is a relative term.

The view from the site was just spectacular.

The dome itself is a cool concept that was poorly executed. First, there's no screens, so it was stupid hot during the day. Since it's May it cooled off at night enough to sleep but I'm not sure how it would be in mid July. They did mention they will be adding a screen door. Second, it leaked during the rain storms due to a poorly designed entrance.

Regardless, it was a nice space to be during the rain.

    We ate ok too.

Summer Camping Stoke. Post pics here.

    ^^Sweet!!

Buddy and I were relegated to scouting some dispersed sites Mon afternoon.

This place is close. This exposed ridge gives a great view of IPW or maybe JPW west and the valley east.

There’s a site on the east side where it’s far less exposed. It would be cool to camp down there and walk up for sunset or sunrise.

The motor gate will be closed for a while at this other place still but some close hike-to stuff:

Water still pretty high on the Cle Elum.

Anyone know what the fuck this is? It was inside my buddies new gazelle brand tent gazebo. It chirps and is like 1.5 inches big.

Camped at the Great Sand Dunes for a few days with the kids. The Sangre de Christo range is becoming one of my favorite regions in CO:

I haven’t been up there in a few years. How’s the road? Would an Outback make it? I’m wanting to do that hike down to the river.

Yea E! Good to see you getting out. Nice bear!

I visited a very quiet corner of the Front Range with JongLafitte and company. An excellent trip filled with cold beer, mixers, gut busting inclines, towering scenery, peaceful lakes, beef filet, hungry trout and great conversation.
