This shit is obvious to a person who thinks, my man.
Listen fuckwit.. How many super rich people contemplate a reverse mortgage versus building the family footprint in the community? I'm talking about working class people who have the chance to help lift their kids up to the middle class and take more of a stake in their neighborhood.. Giving that property back to the bank only facilitates the next working class family to be gouged by the banks again rather than building up the working class stake in the neighborhood and share of wealth in the world. Reverse mortgages are doing as much to facilitate the concentration of wealth at the top as anything.

I'm against reverse mortgages... But I'm also pro a 100% inheritance tax on everything over 5 million dollars.

Another thing, related to the reverse mortgage sabotage of the middle class, is the destruction of collective bargaining and right to work bullshit. With collective bargaining being outlawed and unions losing influence, people no longer earn decent or any pensions or other benefits the boomers had themselves. Your home becomes your grand retirement plan. And the growth of the working class upward mobility suffers as a result.

That has far more to do with the our failing educational systems than any generational difference in intelligence. We can debate who/what has caused the American secondary education system to crumble.

The old people at my job were like “Obamacare is going to cause riots in the streets!”

Then they refused to acknowledge I was right, and everything is fine.

Because weed legalization was going to be “the worst thing that ever happened to this state” according to our county sheriff.

Now they refuse to acknowledge I was right and everything is fine.

Because socialism and open borders and kneeling football players and blah blah blah

You ain't kidding. 8 weeks? He's gonna miss the 4th of July celebrations on Flowing Lake. Mine's currently doing 2 weeks, so he's only gonna miss the parade in town.

Yep, I may mot agree with everything you say or everything you believe.. But by God I'll certainly fight for your freedom to believe what you believe and speak freely about it as long as it's not promoting harm to others.

Ever had any Millennial customers that act like they have never engaged in a business transaction and say things like "I think it should cost XXX" , "My Mom said YYY" , won't look you in the eye and think emojis in texts are communication?

It will make you appreciate the boomers.

Calling me "buddy" even with the most amicable of intentions, is among the quicker ways to elicit a rancorous response from me. Getting my attention by shouting "hey, you son of a whore" would genuinely bother me far less.

I guess this belongs in the Shit That Annoys You thread, but it seemed apropos here.

    Agreed.

Where do you sit with "cheif", "hoss" or "bro"...?
