Have a good one
I can't stand this expression, but it seems every motherfucker uses it.
Is this expression all over the country? Or just here on the East coast.

Shouldn’t this be in the Things That Annoy You thread?
Anyway, have a good one.

I don't know if they say it everywhere, but it's a toned-down version of "have a nice day" and I really can't stand that one so "have a good one" has never bothered me.

I use it along with "take it easy" with the occasional "stay low and drive hard".
I hope all of these offend the op.

On l'east coast, I thought they said 'fuck you', but thought 'have a nice day'.
On the west coast they say 'have a nice day' but think 'fuck you' .Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

It's pretty much the standard parting remark getting off a chair with strangers out here. I think every culture has standard greetings and departure remarks. It saves the effort of trying to be clever all the time. I guess "goodbye" still works though. "No problem" is the one that bugs me, when "you're welcome" would work fine. "Have a blessed day" is not a favorite of mine either.
I read yesterday the 'ciao" originally meant "I'm your slave".

At work I have to say something to people coming and going like a hundred or more times a day. After 6 years of it, I’ve whittled it down to “good day”. You don’t have to switch from morning to afternoon to evening.
I was pretty pleased when I figured that one out.
Good day.

You gotta get it down to one word.
edit: I vote for "Ciao."
