    EVO coming to SLC

Interesting development. Doesnt EVO sell skis n stuff? Wont that hurt L9's biz? Is EVO not going to sell goods at this location? Doesnt sound that way...demos etc... well good for the local slc mags for sure.

Where does it say it's not selling skis?? Level 9 is a discount store, I don't see a (big) conflict.

There's going to be a hotel there, I wouldn't want to stay there, that's for sure.

A couple blocks west Industry is re-doing a massive building, similar to in Denver, also headed by an (ex) ski industry guy. Right near DPS.

No I asked if they maybe weren't selling..Evo is "discount" in my eyes and so is L9 seems weird to have 2 shops of that size so close. Cannibalization comes to mind. It appears they have been active in discussions so I assume it's all worked out.

Maybe they can't kick them out legally when they buy the property. I dunno.

L9 is small fry compared to EVO. It's almost like comparing REI to...well...L9, or Eataly to your local Italian meat and cheese store.

I don't ever recall anyone mentioning a bad service experience with evo.. I think you'll be ok.

Had coffees with the owners of Evo when they were still small on the deck at big sky. Would have been 2004 ish? Seemed very cool. We stopped into the shop a few times when we were passing through Seattle and always remember us and were very friendly even though we were buying scrapers and wax and nothing much. I look forward to the development.

    Wonder what SFB has heard?

i can say this is old news ifin you were in the knows
evo aint buying the business nor the grainery compound which is gonna take a year + to redo and sposedly will include a lodging aspect in that space
l9/2t will do their thing in our 4 retail stores and the fullfillment wharehouse in wx
and evo will do their thing outta the grainery compound
