You could always go to a booze bar and you know, not drink. Designated drivers are awesome as they enable others.

Other booze free places include church, movie theaters and your mom's house.

I went alcohol free for 6 months to train, drank soda water & lime, de-alcoholized wine, it wasn't hard and it was good to know i was not a slave to the bottle, that I could

hanging out with drunk people i knew fairly well at parties could get pretty tedious by about midnight

at the end of it I dove head first off the wagon literaly with a beer in each hand

Yeah, the movie theater here in Big Sky has a beer & wine license. I love it.

I read the title wrong - thought it was “sober curious moment”
I’ve had a few of those...

Oh yea, Sisters (pop 2038) Movie House sells beer and wine. Shit, every retail establishment in Bend sells or gives away beer.

All right. Well, you can walk into a movie theater in Amsterdam and buy a beer. And I don't mean just like in no paper cup, I'm talking about a glass of beer.

The one I went to also had an intermission for smoking and buying more beer. Which I thought was quite civilized.

Intermission is also for pissing, since you've been sitting there drinking beer. I didn't know this and went about 10 minutes before intermission. At least I didn't have to wait for the bathroom or wait in as long of a beer line.

There was a spot in Utah where you could order food and beer without getting up. The rush for the pisser started as soon as the credits rolled

Maybe some people like the exciting atmosphere of a trendy bar (I'm not one of them) without the drunks.

It's the drunks that make it exciting.
