I’ve always enjoyed CT from Long Island Sound.

Get a bigger boat while it’s down?

They replaced a small bridge right outside my condo complex on a fairly major road in North Fairfield. Beautiful job, but it took them nearly three years. If they do this in such a short time, I'll wear a dress and wave at people stuck in the everyday traffic jam on it.

Just another step in CTs plan to make the roads crappy and convoluted enough you can't leave. I mean why else would you be there?

They are going to do it over two weekends. Cut it out and slide in a new bridge - accelerated bridge construction I think it’s called. They did it up in Southington on Route 84. Should be pretty cool.

There's a good chance that bridge was made in China.

Maybe I'll have to pick out a blue floral pattern to match my eyes.

No it was built in place, next to the highway. I guess the steel could be from China.

Accelerated bridge construction is what I do for a living. 2 weekends is common practice, 1 weekend, is easily doable. The Dutch have nothing on us.
Pretty stoked to be part of an industry that gets Benny out in a nice floral dress.

Haha, yeah, the Merritt will be free sailing. Don't tell anybody, though. Our secret.

Actually Buy America only applies if the project uses federal funds. A lot of the bridges we construct dont require Buy America steel. So definitely a chance

Well, the reason I said that is because of that new bridge they floated in at Chimney Point on lower Champlain about ten years ago. Almost fully assembled in China. Pretty cool.
