Did you know his dad's a doctor? Or that he feels sad? Or that his parents bought the 4runner he brags about on the interwebz? Or his intimacy issues that are really just a manifestation of him being a spoiled, narcissistic cunt?
I’m sure a therapist could easily tell me what I’m insecure about, That’s fine. but I’ve been real consistent about calling people out here. Mainly it’s racists. Then blowhards who are smug, with big egos. Finally when people are just plain assholes for what I think is a lame reason. Rant all you want here, I even encourage it but don’t make it weird for the other guy.

As for the doc and 4Runner comments, uh, not a good luck buddy.

I think I’ll go back to poop and fart jokes now, I’m wading into some swampy waters here...

I just read this morning that Iowa has over 23 million pigs, and pigs produce three times as much shit as a human of similar weight. That must really stink.

That old saying that something is rotten in the state of Denmark? Well, that stench isn’t necessarily from the politics of a royal family...

Looks like Forester Pass. Another overrated activity IMO. I've done the Muir Trail, which is maybe the nicest part, and even long stretches of that are boring and if you're a through-hiker you do it too early in the season to really enjoy it---deep snow, mud. Walking on ranch roads in the desert, featureless logging roads. I guess I don't get the point of proving oneself doing something that's hard and not particularly fun. Too much like regular life.

I'm going to take a wild guess that there was a bit of a jam up because of through hikers waiting for a stretch of bad weather to end, plus people moving slowiy in the snow. Through hikers go very light--no boots suitable for snow climbing or ice axes. If that's where I think it is, that pass is at 13,200 ft I think.
I haven't been on the Muir Trail in about 5 or 6 years but never found it crowded. The quotas keep numbers down. Through hikers came through the PCT at Donner Summit--I hike that section of the PCT many times every summer and it's never crowded. If you're looking for true solitude there are better places to hike, but the number of people isn't close to posing a logistical problem.

I think you miss the point. To me, most things in life that are worth doing are "hard" and aren't always particularly fun when you are doing it.

I also began lying to myself a long time ago that I enjoyed the "up" and sufferfests, and I'm happy to report that after lying to myself for about 20 years, I think I'm actually starting to enjoy it
