One of the things I'm grateful for is the fact that I've gotten to experience this completely crazy subculture of ski druggies.
Really, you can have your salons and soirees with the French philosophers, even the amazing seminars and achievements of Bohr, Heisenberg and Einstein as well as the chambers of Bachs, Beethoven, Brahms and the Bolshoi.
Blazing pow days of confusion and wonder are a thing to experience

I used to care, but things have changed
Is this the right place to discuss hearing loss?
I got tinnitus 3 months ago, and my ears feel plugged. Doctors told me I had some high frequency loss and to go get an MRI.
I’ve been drinking a bottle of wine every night to dull the senses. Crossing my fingers it’s allergies.
I’m going to live like a monk if I make it through this one.

When was the last time you had your ears cleaned? I have to go every 3 or 4 years and they extract Gibraltars of waxwads.

Thanks for that one my friend. My distracted mind immediately had to go this song-
and now I've been on a Jimi bender the last hour.
Flyin' so much with one toy, babe
it's an escape to a far away land.
It's so groovy to float around sometimes
even a jellyfish will tell you that.
I said flotation is groovy but easy.
Even a jellyfish can relate to that.
Yeah, but that old jellyfish been floatin' so long and so slack
Lord, ain't don't got a bone in his jelly back.
Floatin' everyday and every night, ridin' high
even if there's a risk, sometimes the wind ain't right.Move upside and let the man go through...

Who's sitting at home drinking because they're afraid of getting another DUI?? Most of my late 20s and early 30s were spent doing everything I could to avoid that Had friends who sometimes could drive, took cabs, walked, biked....... everything except just not drinking...
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

LOL!!! Why thank-you! I still enjoy a good Manhattan a couple times a year.
Just catching up on this thread - yesterday went to hell-in-a-hand basket so I wasn't able to follow along like I would have liked. Nice to know I'm in the same boat with so many great people!
The ebb and flow of life is all it is I guess.
^This but by the same token I see POTUS do/say crazy shit time and time again with no consequences which makes me think very little matters so much that it is worth getting worked up about. I know that sounds kinda fatalist but I don't mean it that way.Last edited by KQ; 05-24-2019 at 11:12 AM.

I had them cleaned in November.
In January I went on the patch and took xanex for 2 weeks cause I was stressed out from dog dieing and some other shit, then the ringing just started.
This yr has been a wake call for me.

Actually..... what I love about W2 is how the local history is still very much alive. The families that settled the valley still live here with streets, buildings and sporting venues named after them. We are still very much a farming community with an easy pace of life.
I think that's how Joseph Smith ended up there after talking into that hat.
It did but we have Brassier Four. Not the same multi-course experience but still yummy.“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis

Not Bunion said, "I am 61, how that happened still baffles me." Man, can I ever relate to that! Drinking less, using cannabis more (up from nearly nothing), and eating healthy. Sounds familiar in this thread. I FINALLY figured-out that treating my body like a rental car is not a good idea so I'm doing yoga, pilates, sleeping more, and not willing to hang my ass out over the edge of a major physical injury very often, if ever. Seeing parents decline mentally and physically has also been a real wakeup call. All of a sudden time feels shorter, and perhaps I care more about living the best possible life now than ever before. Pulling the plug on fulltime employment this fall at 58 ... fuck it. Mrs Funk likes her job and wants to keep working for awhile and I'm going to do what I like to do while I still can. Hope to find a different source of fulfillment than a career I am burned-out on and isn't providing that to me anymore anyway. Hope to meet and ski with some more of you old fuckers this winter
Why must I feel like that, why must I chase the cat?
