So, old man yelling at kids to get off the grass? Sounds about right.

The Who is probably my favorite band from that era. I think they (Roger) should pack it in.

What is he, 80 or something? Absurd.

Weird. At his age, I'll be yelling at kids to give me some of their "grass"...hopefully.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Roger and Pete ( who doesnt even play the leads anymore) are not The Who.

never really liked the Who all that much (or at least not all that much relative to their popularity). Feeling vindicated.

Meanwhile Mick is dancing...
I saw The Who in 1989. And The Stones in '89, as well. Haven't bothered to worry about seeing either of those groups since. They were both pretty solid when I saw them, but I also realized I'd missed the proverbial boat by at least 10 years (probably more).

who and stones in front with zep a step behind. everyone knows this.
There's plenty of competition for zep's spot, too.

I'm not arguing those aren't the top three in some order, but plenty of competition for Zep? Go listen to II again and reassess.

I remember buddies of mine paying $25 to see the 1982 "farewell tour" on a projector in a 12k basketball venue. I don't think the word "jumbotron" had been invented but that was the idea.
Saw them 1989 tommy tour and again 2014 or so because the ticket came up on groupon again for $25. Daultry's voice was toast then. can't imagine how horrible it is now."Can't you see..."

Plant's voice works best for 13-year-old ears then becomes increasingly irritating as one ages. I can't really handle an entire album anymore. Once upon a time I would have said Zep-> Stones-> Who. Now I'd reverse it. Maybe Stones 3rd. Mic's faux country twang is pretty stupid too, and their Muddy Waters/ Willy Dixon covers are pathetic, but I love Keith- so many simple, inspired riffs. There isn't much by the Who that isn't at least tolerable. If "Tangerine" or "Wild Horses" comes on the radio I smash buttons to make it go away.

Ohhh...and: w/o Entwistle, the Who sucks anyways. But outta those three runners-up: Stones, Who, Zeppelin. It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
