Well shit, despite being born here and having spent have a century plus in Washington I guess I'm not a real Washingtonian because I've never picked berries. Who knew?

With the exception of steadfastly refusing to use (or own) an umbrella, those are all things tourists do.

    I'd say...
Driving slow in the fast lane.
Not mispronouncing city/place names. (or Ivar's)
Using heat, defrost, and AC simultaneously in your car/truck (only applies west of the crest).
Wear shorts when it's cold and/or raining.
    Skiing in the rain.
Wear a puffy when it's warm.

If you are or were a kid:
    Trick-or-treated in the rain.
Got a snow day for a half inch of snow. (only applies in the west)
Left and received secret messages for other kids on the window ledge of the space needle revolving restaurant.
You can sing "do the Puyallup"

    If you're over 40:
You know who J.P. Patches is (was).
Remember when Mt St Helens erupted.
Remember the original tv commercial for "do the Puyallup"
Remember the original tv commercials for Rainier Beer.
Remember, and drank the original (real) Rainier Beer aka vitamin R. (same goes for Oly)

I know you all have missed my regular (or so) installments on all that is wonderful in Washington so let's get the ball rolling again:

Did you know that the only place in the world you can find Channeled Scablands is in southeastern Washington!?

It is so very very quiet out here esp. at night. Lovely.

Hey - I was just looking at this pic again and notice to the left you managed to catch a raptor in flight as it hunted over the wheat field.

Yanno, you really should have stopped by for a chin wag. Maybe next time.

    Still love this one:

When I was remodeling my house my contractor found a time capsule in the wall. Among the strange things it contained was an unopened can of Olympia beer.

365 Things To Do In Washington State

#241 - See the rugged landscape of the Washtucna Coulee located in southeast WA. The nearby Devil's Canyon Trail takes you to an abandoned railroad tunnel, and other sights you'll see in this arid desert environment include splendid plants and wildflowers - like sage violets, buttercups, desert parsley and more. (Photo via Washington Trails Association) Kahlotus, Washington

Kahlotus is just over an hour from Walla Walla.

Love the geology story. "Biblical" floods were happening all around the icecap.
A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

LOL! Starbuck is just a wide spot in the road as my grandmother used to say. Population: 131. I don't think that meets Starbucks min. population threshold for moving into an area.

Geology out here is crazy. Lots to see if you're into that sort of thing.
