Yes. Twin Peaks was filmed in Snoqualmie. That is the Snoqualmie Falls Lodge.
My grandfather was superintended of Puget Power and Light and lived near there in the 30s. My mother was good friends with the daughter of the family that owned the lodge at the time and has wonderful stories of playing in the lodge. She said they had all kinds of fun hiding places and secret passageways.Last edited by KQ; 06-21-2019 at 02:41 PM.

Yanno... I should add that Kyle MacLachlan (Special Agent Dale Cooper) is from Yakima. He makes coffee and wine here in town.
A dedicated wine lover, Kyle is partners with vintner Eric Dunham in Pursued by Bear, a label of Dunham Cellars in Walla Walla, Washington that started in 2005. The name, suggested over dinner by Fred Savage, comes from a stage direction ("Exit, pursued by a bear") in Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. It is regarded as one of Washington's highest rated wine labels.
The coffee is also called Pursued by Bear (Brown Bear Melange) and is roasted in collaboration with Walla Walla Roastery.

Are you familiar with alkali bees? Fascinating creatures. W2 is one of the few places you can find them.

Beautiful!
Scenic Washington #172
#172 - Take in sweeping views from the Granite Mountain Trail located near Snoqualmie, WA. A challenging trail through the woods and over several switchbacks leads to open slopes where you will be amazed by the 360-view of the surrounding mountains and forest. Poor ol' girl. Such a sad ending to an interesting "life." I rode on her once when she was still in regular service.
MV Kalakala
Motor Vessel Kalakala (pronounced /kəˈlɑːkəˌlɑː/)[1] was a ferry that operated on Puget Sound from 1935 until her retirement in 1967.
MV Kalakala was notable for her unique streamlined superstructure, art deco styling, and luxurious amenities. The vessel was a popular attraction for locals and tourists, and was voted second only to the Space Needle in popularity among visitors to Seattle during the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. The ship is known as the world's first streamlined vessel for her unique art deco styling.
After festivities, Kalakala entered service on July 4, 1935, instantly becoming an icon.[5] She became the second most photographed object in the world, following the Eiffel Tower (the Golden Gate Bridge wasn't completed until 1937).[1] In addition to ferry service, she was used for "moonlight cruises" with a live dance orchestra.[5]
