does anyone have these 2 special tools sitting around? and an old hub? and a pair of pliers and a blowtorch?
A pair of pliers? More like a 4ft adjustable wrench.

I found a shop that had both the 370 tool and the 240/350 tool.

It was worth the swap out and voiding my warranty on the wheels, which I think may have been through anyway.

Nice! Did you buy the parts on your own and have the shop do the labor, or did they sell you everything?
However many are in a shit ton.

I've done this. I had to get the parts from various places all over Europe, no one shop stocked them all. Got the 2 ring nut tools(the pawl and star tool)from a tool maker in Poland, wasn't going to pay DT swiss price and the chinese shit I'm guessing would have stripped. Took 2 of us to get the ring nut out.

Maybe I should just ride and save my nickels for a wheel upgrade.
If the shop has the tools and I find a donor hub that would also work.
If anyone has those tools and feel like lending them out pm me.

I have some New 370 Freehub bodies if anyone is ever in need. Both have the end cap as well.

DT Swiss now officially supports the 370 to star ratchet upgrade. The kit includes the new seal to make it last.

I had to buy an E1900 rear wheel two weeks ago when my other wheel's rear hub died. This makes me consider keeping it around instead of selling it. The link to the DT Swiss part doesn't seem to work. Anybody have a better link?

The press release just happened, not sure if the its a bad link on this article, or if DT has not updated their page/link that they sent out to the media.
I’ll let you know once I see pricing and/or part number.

Yeah, my Bronson was "only" a 6k GX build, but the wheelset threw the cost up. I had no idea what the DT370 Hub was...ASSumed it was decent because it was coming on a f'n Reserve wheelset! But...I bitched and SC went above and beyond.

"The conversion kit includes all the necessary parts: two 18t ratchets, a threaded ring, springs, a shim ring, a spacer, and a SRAM XD, standard Shimano, or Shimano MicroSpline freehub body.
DT Swiss also offers 24t, 36t, and 54t upgrades for the conversion kit. Pricing ranges from $96.60 to $130.90 USD."

Service Kit Ratchet LN Shimano Micro Spline Alu is part # HXYXXX00N3770S.
Kit includes everything you need to convert. The only thing is it only comes with 18T star ratchets, if you want a better star ratchet you need to purchase that as well.
I have yet to inquire if it is in stock at DT Swiss in Colorado.
I have seen some kits for sale on European sites, and the only NA site that had inventory earlier in the year was Universal Cycles

That you can't buy this kit with the higher tooth count ratchet included, rather than being forced to buy the one you actually need separately/additionally, is fucking idiotic. But coming from a company that tries to spin less POE in a rear hub as a performance improvement.... Not all that surprising I guess.
