does anyone have these 2 special tools sitting around? and an old hub? and a pair of pliers and a blowtorch?
A pair of pliers? More like a 4ft adjustable wrench.

I found a shop that had both the 370 tool and the 240/350 tool.

It was worth the swap out and voiding my warranty on the wheels, which I think may have been through anyway.

Nice! Did you buy the parts on your own and have the shop do the labor, or did they sell you everything?

I've done this. I had to get the parts from various places all over Europe, no one shop stocked them all. Got the 2 ring nut tools(the pawl and star tool)from a tool maker in Poland, wasn't going to pay DT swiss price and the chinese shit I'm guessing would have stripped. Took 2 of us to get the ring nut out.

Maybe I should just ride and save my nickels for a wheel upgrade.
If the shop has the tools and I find a donor hub that would also work.
If anyone has those tools and feel like lending them out pm me.

I have some New 370 Freehub bodies if anyone is ever in need. Both have the end cap as well.

a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
