They'll probably find me staggering around the streets of San Jose after a night at the Del Rey with one kidney missing.

TBH, that is probably what will happen, because the implant is so damn expensive.
I've got a buddy (English, of course) that has like 3 empty sockets in his jaw. While mildly amusing, it seems to have no detrimental effects.

If you make it to Arenal, hit some hot springs. We went to Tabacon, and I'd go back in a heartbeat. Well worth the $.

If you want real third-world, Tortuguero on the Atlantic side is the closest I've been to that. For a relaxing trip I'd just stick to the Pacific side and Arenal though. I didn't make it to Tamarindo, but if you can venture further away from San Jose, I've heard good things.

This is why you want to do the trip with a trusted friend.
I have a friend who has done 2 La Ruta bike races, and he has stayed near Arenal. https://www.arenal.net/hotels Was nice. Coast stuff is easy to parse out, so I won't bother recommending something.

Where's the place you can throw a live chicken to the alligators for like $5? That sounds like fun.

These Benny threads get funner and funner each week. I can't wait for next week.

Costa Rica is played out. Nicaragua is where it's at. Try to sneak across the border for a little more excitement.

Probably too late to cancel CR dentist now.

Maybe he can go to Nicaragua later in the year for a budget colonoscopy?

Ive been to CR a bunch in the 90s but it was to surf. Still kinda wild in CR then.

Had one of my redneck buddiez from FL get his grill fixed in CR last year.
Went down with Steve Buscemi smile.
Came back with George Clooney smile.
I know he spent some time at the del ray.
Said Blow was easy to get in the bar and from taxi drivers.
Knowing my buddy surprised he didnt spend his teeth $ on hookers n blow

What to do in Costa Rica for three or four days.

My dentist in Chile when I was a kid went to UCLA, or Stanford. Can’t remember.

30 yrs later I still have silver fillings holding strong. All my dentists in the US are impressed. I can’t say the same about all the shitty dental work I’ve had done in the US that has required fixing.

I wouldn’t hesitate to have work done overseas so long as I was referred from the right person.

    This, you provincial fucks.

Although I’d probably choose Mexico City over CR for dental work. Cheaper flights and larger pool of qualified DDS’s.

Bud had a great vacation and dental work for below the cost he was quoted in the US.

Go to Chile and see my Dads dentist. He’s like $700 for an implant.

Use the savings to chat up Brazilian widows at Portillo.

You can hop a puddle jumper over to tamarindo and jump off some waterfalls in montezuma and play with howler monkeys .

Can't wait for the TR. I need some work done, and have been looking into this. I had an Uber driver from San Diego(commutes) last week that said he had gone down to TJ and was really happy with the work. Also, there's some famous city in Texas that is famous for the dental work done for cheap just over the border.
