Chances of 19/20 being as good or better than 18/19?
What are the chances of next season being as good or better than this one?
Does two kick-ass seasons in a row ever happen?

I don't know.
We had a shitty year in western and central NYS. Lots of temp bounces and rain.

50/50. Better in some, worse in others. Vail will probably be epic, go there.

Tug, Daks, and NNE had a great year. Such a difference in a few miles drive. Used to be able to ski Highland Forest all season long. Haven't skied there much in the past 10 years. Climate is changing.

Where?
Here in Southern Interior BC we had a great start then since Jan 9th there has been a drought (though areas closer to the border did better).
I predict next year will be somewhere between epic and abysmal - with periods of both.

The responses in this ridiculous thread have been far too kind. This place is slipping. Paging Jong Slaughter...

19/20 will certainly be a better one w/o Greg around this place. Thanks FA!

I'll bite when places BOTH East and West are more than 75% open Thanskgiving Friday, and 100% open Christmas through mid April.
Or are we measuring by level of avalanche carnage? I'll take less volume and fewer deaths personally.Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

I just took a look at Farmer's Almanac. It's official, next year will be shit. Snowfall totals will be less than 50". Don't even bother. Don't renew your passes. Sell all you gear. Tell all your friends, too.

Last really good years back to back in CO(Vail/BC) was 07/08 into 08/09. Recent pattern has been a shit year following a good one.
What's interesting about this year was that it wasn't a huge snow total, but the consistency of storms, cold temps, and cloud cover that led to a great season.

It will be worse, since prezzident dump will probably decide to start a war as the first plank in his election platform. It worked the last time they got a republican reelected, why reinvent the wheel?
