I just started to plan a trip for February of 2021. I'm thinking the 15th through the 21st. Where will the best snow be?

Worse than England. We did get over a foot at the house one weekend. How many snow days off school did your kids get last winter in Seattle?

Schweitzer. I'll likely be in CA during that time frame and, whenever I leave, it dumps here. Always. Bank on it.

Does two kick-ass seasons in a row ever happen?
Nope, never in the history of mankind. Just check the tree rings for proof.

Early season NOAA long range forcasts called for warmer and drier conditions in the PNW with a moderate to light El Nino effect possibly bringing slightly higher precipitation levels to the SW. How did that work out? Up until the middle of January most regions were behind the average with about 80% of snowpack. Then the storms started rolling in and didn't stop.

Now - XXXXXXX XXXX has had 3 kick ass seasons in a row. What were the chances of that? Slim I thought. So did NOAA. I adjusted my winter season plans. Boy was I wrong!

Moral of the story; NOAA don't really know, Farmers Almanac don't really know, no one really knows. You pays your nickel and takes your chances.
