Pivot vs Pivot AW vs Pivot WTR

    Hi guys,

I'm shopping clamps for some new skis, and wondering about all the different Pivot offerings.

I'm shopping for alpine skis with alpine boots, but it seems like especially for the lower DIN models they are only now offered in AW or WTR versions. Is there any performance decline or weight penalty or anything else different about these? Are they still the same Pivots I've loved over the years?

    Thanks...

Also, if I ski at 9 or 10 DIN, is there any reason why I should go above a Pivot 12?

Only if you need the street cred in the lift line, or here in the forums.

Are you a man or my little sister? Does the Pivot 12 come in red?

Also, keep in mind the board receives a cut of all spiral tib fracture surgery bills from the Jackson ER so you’re basically taking food out of our collective mouths.

If metal is a reason, then yes.

    ^^Visionaries.

Also if you accidentally ski thru a puddle of acid, those metal toes are toast.

So the 18 is the only one with full metal toepiece?

I spent the past 8 years skiing on 14s and haven't had any issues...

15s have a metal toe, if they can be found.
