    South Of Summer

To make a long story short, I spent last fall living in a van with one of my best friends (who I hadn't seen in three years), driving over 7000km in said rickety ass van and alternating, ad nauseum, between pasta and rice for dinner to ensure we adhered to our dirtbag budget. I did this to fulfil a life long dream of exploring the Chilean and Argentine Andes by ski, and despite the amount of energy it took to keep the whole junkshow on the rails, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. It was truly a dream for both of us.

Though it's far from our area of expertise, we made a short film about the trip. It was an interesting challenge to try to document the experience without compromising it, and we really, really hope the end result is worth watching!

(Link added as well because Vimeo embeds rarely work right away for me for whatever reason.)

If you watch closely you can see us getting gradually more trashed as the trip goes on. Some solid battles for sure and quite a few looong days.

Very good video Matt. It's a great reminder that every ski video doesn't need a huge budget or some phenomenal videography. The story is the compelling part. Congrats on the great trip and thanks for the video.
