Friend of Mine's Former Partner...Brutal Story
Okay, so this was in our local news. A retired doc who's the sole care-giver for his autistic, non-communicative son is found dismembered and burned in a backyard fire pit. I write my friend and ask if he knew this guy, he responds that he was his former partner in their practice for 30 years. The guy retired out of the practice about two years ago after his wife died in order to care for the son. Now this...

Gruesome. My friend is pretty sideways over this. He, himself, had a son commit suicide about 1.5 years ago. No words for him right now.

Just that it's a strange story and there's a personal connection. It's the padded room, anything's game.

It's Spokane. They love to chop up people and burn their parts there. Not so strange, here's a similar story from the same page.

That second story isn't in Spokane. That's another part of the state. I blame Seattle for that one, although it's actually not close there, either.

Ahhhhh Spokane, you did it again! Jeebus H that is fucked up. Do you think the neighbors smelled the roasting flesh and said, "mmm, someones BBQ'ing"

Yeah, who knows. I thought it was pretty weird that the car was in the driveway, door open, garage door open for two days before the neighbors called it in. I would think after an hour or two that, maybe, just maybe someone might have been suspicious.

Holy shit. So is the son the main suspect right now? Story reads like he is without saying so.
If so, man take care of a kid with severe disabilities for 20 some years, totally change your whole life trajectory and style, all to...

Yes, he is the main suspect. After the wife died two years ago, he (Rex) retired to become the full-time caregiver for the kid. The wife died under suspicious circumstances but no clear crime was ever determined. There was concern at that time that the kid had some involvement but not enough evidence to advance the theory, last I heard.
