Pretty wild that 3 of the first 4 players taken in '97 draft are still active 22 years later. Thornton, Marleau and Luongo.

Or they keep turning over the puck in the NZ over and over again. Or they can’t EVER convert on the PP. FUCK.

What is it about hockey that lets guys play crazy long careers compared to other sports?

For one thing it's easy on the knees. Plenty of injuries in hockey but relatively few blown out knees, because ice is slippery. For another it's played in short shifts so endurance is less of a factor--endurance is the first thing to go with age. Saw Thornton nullify an icing tonight.

huh? knee injuries are the second most common injury in hockey behind concussions. the few players with longevity in the game are the players with the "hockey sense" knowing where to be at all times; both in playmaking and not to get clocked on a regular basis
Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

Agree. He should have never seen the third period. Regroup. Get his head right.

There is a storm brewing here though, it’s just 6 weeks of shitbag weather making the locals ornery. Is that the word I’m looking for?

Jerks should have started a fight. That's hockey 101 what to do when you're getting your ass kicked according to the scoreboard.

Only reason I kept watching. Not to see 2 goals by Carolina.

Just finished watching it. Bruins are so much faster. Carolina can nullify that with hitting to an extent but they were so focused on hitting early they forgot about the puck. Was also hoping for a Rask shutout but wutev. Thank god for fast forward, I didn't hear a word K said, it was bad enough watching his mug go past on the screen.

Endurance actually stay longer than quickness, power, agility, and strength. Skating has much longer force periods than running, which helps the old timers keep up. It’s also a game of technique and smarts rather than athleticism.

Usain Bolt retired at 32. He was old as fuck for a sprinter.

    NHL PLAYOFFS 2019!!!

Just heard that Brind’Amour didn’t pull his goalie once this year— thought that was really odd. Reinforces the chatter that he is a player’s player’s coach.
