Yeah who gets too tired first. Bringing back good memories of triple OT playoffs as a kid.

Pretty cool. Sorry Capitals. It was a great series and somebody had to lose.

Now on to Islanders.. Another one of my former home teams. Lived in Huntington back in the 80s, but after they started sucking. I can be happy regardless but hope the it's the current home team.

Is there a team you don't root for?

Ha!! Man it sucked not having the Hawks in the playoffs.

20 years with Stars as home team and a cup in 1999. 20 years with Canes as home team and cup in 2006, on my birthday!

When I was learning to play hockey in Minnesota Bobby Oor was my favorite player

I get if you grew up and lived one place most of your life you'd not understand how someone can loyalty to more than one team. When you've lived for over ten years in 3-4 different places you build some loyalty to all those places.

Yep. Too bad Holtby forgot how to play his position in the 3rd. He kept us in it in OT tho, so ... ah well.

Yet another 1st round exit. I love my team, but sometimes I don't like them.

Well, full disclosure, when it comes to MLB I've only really supported the Mets.. because they were good when I lived in NY. So, like Charlie Brown and the football I get lured in every time they appear to have a shot at the playoffs. I know a lot of Caps fans. Really have nothing to hang your heads about. Last season was something truly special. It's hard to pull off being best of the best, especially back to back.

This is hard to type, but I think Trotz is going to make me get on the Islanders wagon. However, just in the east. Stars, Avs, or Sharks are all compelling.

I'm still rooting for them. Lived about a mile from the Coli for 30 years and now in Melville. Life long Islanders fan. Hope there is some magic in this team.
Took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to change this shit

I was more than half asleep when Brock McGinn tapped in the winning goal in double O/T. I hadn't realized how much we needed him at both ends last night.

He dove and pushed the puck away from Backstom's sure goal tap in earlier.
