Close call. I don't think the officials get to see a replay. In real time it looked worse than it was. The initial contact was to Dowd's chest--so it was not blindside,barely--then Dowd's face and Ferland's back made contact, which suggests to me that the head contact was incidental and not that hard. Maybe 2 minutes for the incidental head contact--is that possible under he rules?
