splitoard/snowshoes poles recommendation: Leki vs MSR vs Komperdell

    Hi everyone
About to pull the trigger, still undecided among these models:

Leki TOUR STICK VARIO CARBON V

    https://www.leki.com/en_CA/skitour-snowshoe/poles/3302/tour-stick-vario-carbon-v/

Komperdell Carbon Tour 4 (I understand Jones poles are these rebranded)

    https://www.komperdell.com/en/poles/trekking/produkt.php?id=194_2003_02

    MSR: Dynalock Ascent Carbon
    https://climbinggearreviewsuk.wordpress.com/2018/12/14/msr-dynalock-ascent-poles/

any suggestion? what do you think of Leki strap system? Any particular reason to chose one brand/model or not?
    thanks

I have had the Komperdells you mention above for 4 seasons and no complaints. The screw together sections create a very stiff pole.

    Thanks

I keep reading about the danger of having the fixed straps on poles. A lot of people cut them off immediately. Any comment?
The Leki seems to be the only model allowing for a quick release.

You may want to use straps for the up, just cuz the straps are there does not mean you need to put your hands thru them for the down
