    Westcomb, what an awesome company

My Westcomb Epoc shell is, without a doubt, the best piece of ski apparel I've ever owned. Everything you read about it is dead on.
That's why it killed me when I clipped a dead tree branch on an otherwise great BC run and saw this:

Close to ripping the entire arm off.
I thought it was done. Or at least relegated to the duct tape pile.

Figured I'd give it a Hail Mary call to Westcomb and they said, "send it in we'll see what we can do."
I sent it in and they emailed me, "Wow, you really did it. We'll try our best." Hope was shrinking.

The next day they sent me this:

    Which turned into this:

    Amazing.
More amazing, no cost. Just pay shipping.

It's great (and increasingly rare) to find a combination of super product with over-the-top service.
    Thanks Westcomb.

FKNA!! Will consider the brand when shopping for a new shell. Getting fed up with our disposable consumerism; fewer and fewer things are deemed fixable and replacement is the standard approach which drives me nuts. Repairs shops (electronics etc.) are almost extinct due globalization and cheap Asian manufacturing.

Good to see Westcomb bucking the trend.

I'd love a new Westcomb Revenant shell, but $750 USD ain't gonna happen.

    Westcomb, what an awesome company

I have the vapor fx free ride from eBay closeouts. Great event shells and I hoarded them cause they discontinued this product line. Bought pants and fix with fleece lining also. At $200 they are are burly 800 weight event which has stood up to a lot of branches.
Now my neoshell is way less durable and only tour or snow shoe

    But great company for sure.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
