215s remounted ready to go. Big thanks to ACH. I accept the throw a heli challenge although a double daffy might be cooler. See yall bright and early Saturday might need two safety meetings before heading out on the rocket ships

I'm thinking pork carnitas for Saturday. I don't have a stove though. Will there be something to use for reheating? Slackey's or jt's maybe?

Why not make it 200cm plus? 210+ are hard to find and were just for downhill racing. Just sayin

LOL - looking at the pic above, none of those skis are 210+ anyways. Carry on

Just show up (and bring beer/food). There are plenty of extra longboards for skiing. I have (3) pair. You are welcome to take one pair out and do some "downhill racing".

It's likely that there will be a kicker and a sanctioned event that will make that possible.

I have some 207cm K2 Extremes all mounted, some other 205's and 203's in the pile waiting to be turned into a fence or something. I worked in a shop in those days and 210+ just were not stocked for the masses, they were downhill racers..

Sounds like you are ready to go. Bring the Extremes (the bases photograph beautifully), some food/drink and have some fun.

Mens GS skis averaged 210cm from the 70s til the early 90s. Hell, I used to have 8 pairs of 215+ just myself and never raced.

Whatever, I know what we sold and it was a very busy shop, and we stocked very little over 207cm.

Which picture are you referring to? If it's the group shot at Alpental, you would be wrong.

I worked in a few shops during the era as well. While it's true that the majority of skis stocked and sold were 180 > 207, every shop I worked at stocked and sold skis in the 210 > 212cm range. Most were GS, and few SL as well.

I haven't skied a pair of 215s since 1982. But, I did a helicopter on them when I did. Retired my 204 VO slaloms about 5 years ago. Nothing over 192 in the quiver anymore and didn't ski anything over 186 this season.

But, still remember that super floater heli on the 215s back in high school.

Note the TNF one piece is original owner from when I thought I was gonna be the next cliff jumping super freak film star. Turns out ski teching was my calling instead.

Bonus points for the Salomon rear entry boots! The 1970s yellow White Stag looking jacket predates all the rest of that gear.
