Pinnacle Pioneers
Sometimes in the South Columbia Range we get tired of skiing perfectly spaced trees and champagne pow ... Thankfully, there is plenty of gnar where others wouldn't bother to look.
The heli wasn't available, but the fixed wing reconnaissance proved fruitful. By all accountants the area is under explored and this was likely a first descent (CLAIM!)
Long approaches are long.
At the top we all felt rather humble, exhausted and way less rad... who wants to go first?
Long descent on tired legs
Next Day avy risk went through the roof, so we kept it rad and mellow...
the red arrow shows where we hiked to on day one.
