Solly 900S Template?
Scored some gear from my town transfer station swap area. They call it the mall. Solly 900S bindings and Volkl P30 200cm. Skis are in great shape. They were fully jacked with derbyflex plate and shims. Ripped all that stuff off. Skis probably wont preform as well but whatever.
Does the template that jondrums posted in the binding template thread apply to these? Pretty sure it does but it shows a five hole pattern for the toe piece.
These will be fun to try. Haven't been on a 63mm waist ski in years.

All old sollies have the same pattern. Just ignore the 5th toe hole (it's for the Z toe).

Solly template is correct, 4 holes in front and 5 in back.

Those P30 RCs are fucking rad skis, I miss ripping around on those things. Great score.
You want some solly 10mm lifters to get you off the deck so you don’t boot out? Different hole pattern, but I’ve got a pair hiding somewhere.

There's a fifth screw in the higher din versions. Not the same as the brake screw

Not worth arguing over, but indeed this binding did have a five screw mount system in the heel, with another screw for the brake that only screws into the binding not the ski.
So I mounted them up which went well. Those downloadable templates work great. Fine tune adjustments seemed pretty straight forward, toe wing angles and height of the toe. I just wanted to verify I got the forward pressure set correctly.
This is what the forward pressure adjustment screw looks like with the boot in the binding. The screw wants to be even with the metal base plate?

Yeah you got it, you might be a tad heavy. There’s several different iterations depending on the generation for worm screws, but on the older ones (977/997/900) there should be some diagonal hash marks either side of the screw head at the rear of the base plate, correct fwd pressure is head of screw within the hash marks. Later 916/STHs were flush with the end of the track, easily identifiable by lack of hash marks, and some with a quad/Z-style toe had a channeled tab that the screw head needed to be in, similar to the lower-din, tab adjust heels.

We need a forward pressure compendium thread. I’ll start taking some pics.
