To make things quantifiable, you have to calibrate your OgdenMeterTM as well so you'll have some traveling to do..

Doesn't take much to rustle up some Seattle jimmies.

Hey, don't encourage people to move to VT. Oh, wait, Londonderry is actually in North Massachusetts. Carry on.

“Seattle is dying” ...it’s a lot to unpack if you really dig a little

So what is Seattle to you:
    -The setting?
    -The people?
    -Expectations of lifestyle?
    -Work situations?
-the surrounding area or just Seattle city limits?

    What does “is” mean:
    -“Looks like”?
    -“People are saying”?

    What does dying mean:
    -changing for the worse?
    -individual human deaths?

What I get out of this is: “people are saying” “expectations of lifestyle” —around seattle—-are “changing”

People are saying their lifestyles around Seattle are changing for the worse.
Really not the same as Seattle is Dying.

The Ogden unit isn’t about comparing places with Ogden.
    It’s only named after Ogden.

You could use it as a one-off, if-then comparison. Such as, hypothetically:
“If Seattle is 1 Ogden, Nashville is at least 3 Ogdens.”

Although, at the risk of muddying the water on this frustrating subject, now is a great time to use the Ogden scale to compare places with Ogden, because Ogden appeared to me the other week to have moved down to around 1 Ogden....which may or may not help, depending on how many Icemans of obfuscation you’ve previously experienced in trying to assimilate The Ogden Scale.

Only after group completion and extending to include equivalence classes of solutions for multiplicative equations. e.g. (a,b)~(c,d) <=> a*d==b*c where b!=0!=d

One thing that I find really puzzling about Pugetopolis/western Washington in general is how defensive people who are from here get when you point out the obvious, undeniable flaws or drawbacks to the area. I'm far more used to the "yeah, this place totally sucks, you should probably move somewhere cooler." Instead, people here get apoplectic when you point out that traffic fucking blows, or that western Washington is not the pinnacle of human civilization, outdoor recreation and cultural opportunities. It's weird.

Must be a small sample size; my inlaws are several generation locals numbering in the dozens and they recognize the mess.
