NFL 2019/2020
I was gonna post this in the old NFL thread but
A it’s not on the first 3 pages of padded room and I’m too lazy to look for it any more
B the 2019 season officially starts on Wednesday anyhow
C as a Super Bowl Champion PATS fan it’s my prerogative to start the new thread anyways
Wait what was I saying... oh yeah. Antonio Brown to the RAIDERS for a 3rd and a 5th. 3 year, 50 mil with 30 mil guaranteed..
Real coherent strategy by Gruden, oh we don’t have the money for Khalil Mack or Amari Cooper, we’re rebuilding! WAIT we do have the money for AB, we’re not rebuilding we’re reloading!! In any event. Good for him, one of the best receivers of this generation.

Detroit Patriots expected to announce a 5 year deal for top Pats pass rusher Trey Flowers at ~17 mil/yr
Jags “upgrade” at QB, give Nick Foles 88 million over 4 years (with a max of 102 mil)

^ really? Malik Jackson is a good signing, but essentially just a swap for Michael Bennet? I do like the Desean Jackson move, that guy still has wheels

I'm just gonna leave this here:

News of the Beckham deal, which was first reported by NFL Network, had an immediate impact in Las Vegas. Cleveland's odds to win the Super Bowl went from 25-1 to 14-1 at Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. Its odds to win the AFC went from 12-1 to 7-1, behind only Kansas City and New England (3-1).
The Browns went 7-8-1 last season after not winning a game in 2017. They haven't reached the playoffs since 2002.
"Absolutely," Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett told NFL Network when asked if the Browns are now the team to beat in the AFC North. "I think the tide has turned and we can't wait to get out there and prove it."I still call it The Jake.

Browns are for real.

OBJ went to the Browns?!? That is AWESOME
Team to beat in the AFC North and I gotta think they won’t be too far behind N.E. And K.C. overall in the AFC now.. Wow

Go Browns. They deserve it.
I have a feeling that OBJ is going to tear his Achilles in the preseason and Baker Mayfield is going to snap his femur. Or something happens to derail the Browns.

Brownies getting Earl of Thomas as well, yikes!!!
... jfost is really ignorant, he often just needs simple facts laid out for him...

Brown to AFC Championship! Only the NFC East can stop the Patriots 7th!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

browns and jets will screw this all up.....right?

While a lot of teams are throwing big money at good players, the Browns at least have the sense to spend it on excellent ones.
Jets still suck.

That’s not happening any more
Edit: 4 years, 55 million, to the Ravens
LaVeon to the Jets though! Sam Darnold gets some big time help. Jets also made a great move signing away stud Raiders LT Kelci Ocemele to protect Darnold and open some holes for Bell. Are the Patriots finally gonna have some competition in the east??Last edited by Diamond Joe; 03-13-2019 at 10:23 AM.

Speaking of Pats competition in the AFC, I just saw that KC traded Dee Ford to the Niners for a 2nd round pick. They JUST put the franchise tag on the guy!? And this, after losing Justin Houston.. Chiefs D getting worse in a hurry

Browns still need an O-line.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Gronk retires and nothing but silence from the chowds?
Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?

Just heard this second, came here to post it. What a drag. Gonna miss that guy. Still effective even banged up as hell. Hope he has a great retirement, he deserves it. Supposedly he has invested every cent he's earned in the league, living off endorsements only. So he should be in good shape financially at least. I really hope he doesn't pay too high a price physically and mentally like many have.
